HISTORY OF THE FIRM
Your trust is our most valuable asset.
We earn it by personal effort, expertise in our respective fields, and exceptional strategies.
Founded in 1974, our firm became ready for successful expansion when joined by Dr. Peter Fuerniss (1985), Ferdinand A. Brandl and Helmut E. Huebner (1987). Expansion continued with the entry of Dr. Juergen Kaiser and Dr. Walter Roess (1991), the move into a modern office building as well as the entry of Konrad T. Winter (1992) and Dr. Willi Polte (1995). In the year of 1997 was the merger with the renowned Munich patent firm Weinhold & Partners. Beginning with June 1, 1998, our firm continues under the name Winter, Brandl, Fuerniss, Huebner,
Röss, Kaiser, Polte - Partnerschaft and since June 1, 1999, also has office facilities in downtown Munich in the vicinity of the patent offices and of the courts where patent litigation is carried out. With the entry into the partnership of Dr. Wolfgang Ritthaler (2000), Bernd Henninger (2001), Simon Angermeier (2006) and Jörn Fischbeck (2008), Michael Wieser (2011) and Alexander Kühn (2011) our firm continuously experienced an expansion impulse.
After more than three decades of successful activities, we are one of the major patent and law firms in Germany and attend to clients from all industrial areas and from all over the globe. Persistent development and solidification of our departments - from mechanical
engineering and electrical engineering to chemistry, biotechnology and trademarks - guarantees your
contact partners to be experts even in novel technical areas. Experts who are entrusted
i.e. with teaching assignments at universities and colleges, regularly hold seminars and
lectures on intellectual property law, and consequently the solid reputation they enjoy is
not limited to business circles.
